Concrete has been used for centuries and is a crucial part of our modern civilization and infrastructure. This candleholder pays homage to this versatile natural material by showing its more soft and elegant side in a tablepiece that proudly displays the material it is made from. The candleholders are handmade, making the best use of a combination of new and traditional production techniques. The final design came to life through the 3D-printing of a fully digital CAD model, but the actual concrete products are simply cast in a silicone mold, derived from the 3D printed prototype.
